Hi, I’m cheryl - and i love jesus.

I wasn’t born and raised a Christian. I didn’t find the Lord until much (much!) later in life. And some days, I still feel like I’m figuring it all out.

I’ve raised five incredible kids who somehow grew up to become my favorite people on the planet. Most of them are grown and married to equally wonderful humans. A few have even made me a grandma—six times over. And if you’re anything like me, you know there’s nothing quite like seeing your children reflected in their own children. It’s joy on a whole new level.

Jason is the man on this wild ride with me. We both came through broken seasons—two divorces each—and didn’t find each other until we were nearly 50. It wasn’t the life I planned, but it’s exactly the life God intended. When I try to run my own life, I usually mess it up. But when I let the Lord take the lead, I find peace, comfort, and joy that no plan of mine could ever match.

I’m also living with metastatic breast cancer and lymphedema—a side effect of radiation. Maybe that’s something we share, too. But whether we share that diagnosis or just a deep desire to make the most of this life, I’m so glad we found each other.

The Real Christian Life is about building a community of women walking with Christ—some of us steady-footed, others just now learning how. Whether you were born knowing Him or found Him after 40 and a barrel of mistakes, there’s room for you here. It’s never too late to rest in His love, to rediscover your purpose, and to live this one precious life with grace, strength, and a little sparkle.

So welcome. You belong here.
